D&Co du Milieu – 8th Anniversary

Another candle to blow out for the site!

Last week, D&Co du Milieu celebrated its eighth anniversary (August 12th). 8 years of decorations, contests, and news about LotRO Housing.

Before we celebrate with another contest (see bottom of the post), let’s take a look back at the 2023-2024 season for the site.

Contests

As usual, there were many contests on the site this year, but also outside of it (mainly on Discord).

This year also saw the launch of a brand-new contest, the Vanilla Contest. And given its very pleasing success, you can expect to see this contest return during the new season. 😉

Website

This year has been a busy one for the site!

A few months ago, I undertook a complete overhaul of the English site’s appearance. This redesign came with new features, such as the ability to fine-tune your decoration searches.

A few weeks ago, I also decided to remove all ads from the site and switch to a voluntary donation system only, to try and cover my operational costs.

I still have some ideas in mind to improve things, so expect some upgrades very soon.

Here are some figures from the past year (from 08/1/2023 to 7/31/2024):

• 3,460 decorations listed on the site (585 added this year)
• Over 11,000 LotRO points given away in contests, plus many other goodies!
• 330,000 visits this year (283,000 last year)
• 108 users with a profile on the site
• 774 members on Discord

Ongoing Contest

As part of D&Co du Milieu's anniversary, if you're on Twitter, I’ve launched a screenshot contest, and everyone can participate for a chance to win some LotRO points and other goodies.
