A Brand New D&Co du Milieu

Hello everyone and welcome to Project Olivier, a brand new chapter in the D&Co du Milieu story!

Project Olivier is not just an update; it’s a complete transformation of the D&Co du Milieu website. With a sleek new design and enhanced features, this update is set to improve your user experience, but also mine – to be honest.

That's not the new logo! For now 😉

The old website had its limitations, making it impossible to add new features without adding more spaghetti code to the already messy code.

When I first developed it, the game had only 4 neighborhoods and 800 deco items. Over time, this structure became outdated, leading to the need for a fresh start. This new website addresses past issues and introduces exciting new functionalities for everyone.

A Fresh New Look

The website has undergone a complete redesign, offering a more modern and visually appealing interface, I hope. 😉

Dedicated Deco Item Categories

Deco items are no longer just "basic posts." They now have dedicated categories with unique presentations, allowing for a more organized display and allowing me to give you more unique features.

Enhanced Filtering and Search Options

I've introduced new categories for deco items, along with advanced filters and search capabilities. This makes finding exactly what you're looking for easier than ever. And I won’t stop there, I have many new things in mind that will be introduced soon.

Improved Maintenance and Structure

For me, this update also means getting rid of the old spaghetti code and simplifying maintenance tasks, ensuring a smoother and more efficient website in the end.

  • Ambient Music Display Issues: Ambient music are not displaying correctly in category archives. This is something that will get fixed to some extent in the future.
  • Broken Links: Due to extensive changes, some links might be broken. Please report any issues using the bug report form on each post or the Discord feedback channel.
