The X-Creator’s Selection (2025 Edition)

Discover the finalists of the X-Creator contest.

So… I’m late. Really late this time. Before kicking things off, I just wanted to apologize for the delay (for those who don’t follow us on Discord). I had some IRL stuff to deal with earlier in August, including a minor surgery (nothing serious). As I mentioned on Discord, that was one of the main reasons for the delay. The other reason is that I think Cordovan is on vacation, so the rewards didn’t reach me in time.

ANYWAY—let’s move on to the fun part!

It was such a pleasure to discover all of your creations, each one more original than the last! I want to take a moment to congratulate everyone. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us, and for taking the time to imagine all of this. Bravo!

So, after much thought, I selected 13 creations that I liked the most.

Here we go:

Oiostirion, the everlasting towers.

Nestled among a sun-kissed terrace in the border of Eregion and the Hithaeglir slopes and crowned with towers that shimmer like starlight, Oiostirion (the everlasting towers) is an ancient Noldorin sanctuary where stone, water, and living green intertwine.

Raised by the Gwaith-i-Mirdain in the zenith of the Eregion's glory in the Second Age, this three-tiered garden rises in graceful harmony with the land, winds and sky, its terraces each reflecting an aspect of elven life: Memory, Beauty, and Wisdom.

Fed by a single crystal spring that flows like time itself, the waters descend from terrace to terrace, weaving light and song into the very air. The lower terrace, called the Vairë's Ponds, honors the past, with quiet pools with blossoms, greenish waters and rocks, surrounded by a ribbon of etched memories of lost tales.

Above it lies the Luthien's Garden, alive with the flowing music of its shimmering water, a spot for celebration, joy and kinship under flowering canopies.

Finally, the uppermost tier, the Elbereth's Garden, with gentle towers staring to the stars: a realm of stillness and thought, visions and views to reach for the starry firmament. More than a place of beauty, Oiostirion is a living testament to elven resilience and artistry, shaped not in defiance of time, but in communion with it. Here, among whispering winds and starlit paths, the Eldar raised a monument to remember who they were, rejoice in what is, and dream of what may come.

Chillout Flowerbed

Well, I guess if you're a member of the Umbari high society, you can't simply sit down on a chair to enjoy your tea. So the much more appropriate place is a nice flowerbed with a little fountain and some stylish wooden benches to chill on while reading a book or just chatting with some friends. This was inspired by the benches in the entering area of Lalia's Market in Bree.

Happily Ever After

We created a piece that can be likened to a wedding cake topper or even a tiered wedding cake garnished with flowers, butterflies, flowing water, and glowing candlelight. The Gil-Galad statue holding a lighted spear which is then grasped by Luthien is sort of reminiscent of a Harlequin Romance Novel cover.

Summer Vacation Home In Furtherholm Isle.

The rental family vacation home sits just steps from a quiet, glassy lagoon, surrounded by swaying palms and wildflowers. Its exterior is a charming blend of Hamati Mosaic floor and whitewashed stone, with a wide porch perfect for morning coffee or evening breezes. Large windows reflect the lagoon's calm surface, and the soft sound of lapping water blends with birdsong in the trees. It's peaceful, sunlit, and feels like a well-kept secret.

The Temple of Khuzdul-Khazad

My initial idea was to recreate the Temple of Kukulkan — an ancient pre-Columbian Mayan temple and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, located in Chichen Itza, Mexico.
But I quickly ran out of hooks — turns out just the temple structure alone needed around 70 decorative item hooks! Even the “Lindelby Stately Deluxe Smial” doesn’t come with that many, so I had to scale things back a little.

I ended up keeping just the core idea: a 9-level pyramid with its stairways.

And so was born the Temple of Khuzdul-Khazad.

Hidden deep within a forgotten valley of the Hithaeglir, the temple rises like a shard of ancient memory, its shadow stretching long against the crimson light of dusk. Legends whisper that here, far from the ears of the world, the first Dwarven loremasters gathered in solemn council to forge the secret tongue of Khuzdul — a language so powerful it is said to shape the stone itself when spoken aloud.

The steep stairways climb skyward, each step echoing with the weight of tradition. At the base, eight unmoving stone sentinels stand watch — seven carved in the image of the First Smiths, each representing one of the seven Houses of the Dwarves, and an eighth known only as the Overwarden of the Deep, whose name has long since been lost to the chasms of history. Their eyes remain fixed upon the mountain winds, guardians of silence and memory.

The higher one ascends, the more the world below fades into silence, until only the murmur of the peaks remains — like an echo of ancient Khuzdul whispered back by the mountains themselves.

No living child of Ilúvatar knows of its dwelling, nor has any set eyes upon its sacred stone. Even among the wise of the Seven Houses, it is deemed a fable — a mythic allegory, woven to sanctify the birth of the Secret Tongue.
“Stone remembers. Words shape. Khuzdul is both.”— Inscription beneath the feet of the Overwarden, the name long worn away by time

A Celebration of LOTRO

Looking back, it’s hard not to smile at the journey of the Fellowship. I still visit the quiet charm of the Shire, where it all began, and feel the sense of wonder stepping into places like Lothlórien, guided by Galadriel’s mysterious mirror. There were fierce battles with orcs, moments of awe at the bravery of the Rohirrim, and the unforgettable defense of Minas Tirith, where hope was almost lost. And then, that final moment at Mount Doom, when the Ring was cast into its fiery depths and the long burden was lifted. Along the way, there were countless moments—small and grand—and I’m thankful to have lived them all through The Lord of the Rings Online.

The Bearded Bear Inn

My idea began with five kegs whose contents guaranteed adventure, memory lapses and a missing pair of trousers. Today they are in a pub where even bears are regulars.

The Thieves' Alter

Kinship Home of The Shadow Guild 1 High Road, Ashbrook Neighborhood – Bree-land Homesteads “We take what others lock away.” High above the winding paths of Bree-land’s Ashbrook neighborhood, perched like a watchful crow at 1 High Road, lies the hidden heart of The Shadow Guild—a Kinship not bound by honor or light, but by the cold lure of gold, the thrill of the silent step, and the price paid in blood for those who chase forbidden fortune.

This is no welcoming hearth. The air here is still and heavy, thick with incense and whispered oaths. The flicker of torchlight dances along dark stone walls, casting long shadows that seem to cling too tightly, as if reluctant to let go. The scent of aged parchment, old coin, and steel lingers like a ghost in every room.

At its core stands the Thieves’ Altar, an ominous and singular shrine—crafted of blackened iron, crimson velvet, and the bones of those who failed to pay the cost. It is a place of reverence and reckoning, where members of the Guild kneel not in prayer, but in tribute. It honors the truth that every treasure has a price: sacrifice, betrayal, blood. Coins lie scattered at its base, alongside trophies taken in silence—daggers, rings, even a few heads.

Near the base of the Thieves’ Altar rests a worn, iron-framed wheelchair—blackened by time, its leather cracked, its wheels rusted red. No name is spoken with it, no plaque marks its story, but all in the Guild know what it means. It was not placed there in honor. It was left as a warning. The story goes that the mark was already crippled when the job was called—a retired fence who had vanished with a fortune in stolen coin and vanished into obscurity. He thought his injuries would spare him. They didn’t. The Guild found him, wheeled him outside, and took back more than the gold. They took the chair too—dragged it across leagues of forest and stone—and laid it at the foot of the Altar, as if to say: Even this we own. To some, the chair was worth more than the treasure it cost. A lifeline. Freedom. The only way to move through a world that no longer welcomed him. And yet even that, the Guild took—because shadow does not discriminate. It only takes. Carved into the wood beneath the seat, scorched deep with a hot knife, are four simple words: “Even the still run.”

No one knows who etched it—some say it was the mark himself, in a last act of defiance; others whisper it was a message from the Guildmaster, cold and final. And on quiet nights, the chair sometimes creaks of its own accord—just once—enough to stop a thief mid-step and remind them: nothing is beyond reach. Only those who live in shadow are welcome here.

To outsiders, it’s merely an old and forgotten hall. But those who know… know better than to speak of it aloud. In this place, fame is fleeting, but the price of glory is eternal.
