Monthly Housing Ideas – January 2026

Welcome to the first edition of Monthly Housing Ideas.

This new monthly article is all about decoration inspiration. Each month (yes, I know, I clearly enjoy giving myself more work…), I’ll be highlighting a curated selection of screenshots from the community, focusing on a specific housing theme and featuring a few member profiles worth discovering.

If you enjoy browsing housing ideas, exploring different styles, or looking for inspiration for your own homes in Middle-earth, this series is for you.

Feel free to keep sharing your screenshots on Discord, and don’t forget to create or update your member profile on the site: it’s the best way to showcase your houses and be featured in future editions.

A selection of screenshots recently shared on our Discord.
Great examples of creativity, atmosphere, and attention to detail from the community.

This month’s theme focuses on Erebor gardens.

Whether you’re working with stone terraces, or small green spaces, these builds show how to bring life and balance to Dwarven exteriors.

The screenshots featured here come from various sources across D&Co du Milieu, including past housing contests, Discord shares, and older community submissions, all gathered together to highlight different approaches to this month’s theme.

More decoration ideas coming next month.

In the meantime, feel free to share your screenshots on Discord and keep inspiring the community!
