Monthly Housing Ideas – May 2026

Welcome to another edition of Monthly Housing Ideas.

Reminder: This monthly article is all about decoration inspiration. Each month, I’ll be highlighting a curated selection of screenshots from the community, focusing on a specific housing theme and featuring a few member profiles worth discovering.

This month again, there’s a little bonus: a giveaway! Scroll down to the end of this article for all the details.

Rivendell Housing was released in April, and it looks like many of you have been having a lot of fun with it in May! If you need some inspiration for decorating your Rivendell houses, here you go:

  1. I said this on Discord, but the recent slate of decoration items and, at least in Rivendell, ubiquity of mobile yard hooks is really, really allowing people to make things we never thought we’d see before with LOTRO’s often quite limited housing system.

    Some of the screenshots of the Rivendell yards, in particular, show that here: there’s something like a Temámir garden, an ancient Arnorian haunt, a Kintai garden, a working vineyard, and so on. It’s all fantastic, and gets me super excited to see what the future of LOTRO’s housing system could look like with even more of its restrictions lifted and even more decorations added. Brilliant work all, and thanks as always for sharing your ideas; they’ve certainly inspired me!
