#14 : Home of Rhuangar

Address : 2, Cape Road

Neighborhood : Galadhraw - Cape of Belfalas Homesteads

Language & Server : English - Brandywine

A few word from the homeowner:

"Eowyn wasn't the only woman to fall in love and marry a Gondorian after the war. This house in Belfalas is the home of another Rohirric-Gondorian couple that was brought together by the movement of people and armies. Inside you will find signs of their allegiance to both kingdoms. Though there are elements from all over Middle Earth in this house, you will find certain corners in which the Rohirric half of the couple can sit and remember her homeland."

  1. My favorite part of this house would probably have to be the entrance with all the pretty lamps. I also really liked the color scheme, especially the purple, which really popped in the upstairs study with the green maps. The bedroom was also really nice and cozy.

    All and all well done!

  2. Probably the best use of the new moving possibility in the garden of the contest.
And the entrance Hall is really well done, kudos !

  3. Interesting item overlays of food, and alignment of like items to make longer tables. Nice grouping in yard. Thank you for opening your home. 🙂

  4. You garden is really beautiful, I love how you placed the ruined pillars with the gazebo. The holly tree is also one of my favourites.

Your use of colour and surface textures is excellent. You’ve made some bold colour choices but they work really well. The sienna (?, maybe it’s umber or pumpkin orange I’m not sure) contrasted with the turquoise of the ceiling is a great choice, and one that I’m totally going to try for myself.

I also approve of the blocking off of those two tiny side rooms. I found them difficult to work with and cramped, not great for creating a nice scene. The re-purposing of that corridor into a dining area works nicely!

    1. Congratulations on 1st place Aoumiel! I just saw your comment here. I’m glad you liked the colors. I thought to myself also, that they are strange combinations, and I wasnt sure what others would think… but in the end, in my own head, they worked. I’m glad they did for others as well.
      Pumpkin orange is the color.
