A few word from the homeowner:

My dearest –

This small home in Ered Luin has proven a true sanctuary after my defeat and subsequent flight from Seregost. However, as time has passed, I have simply outgrown the quarters. The frigid year-round climate and lack of fertile soil have forced me to move my botanical experiments indoors, and the chamber in which they were contained has now been consumed, overgrown with feral life. Priceless tomes and artifacts are stacked haphazard, some hidden entirely under tables, shrouded from the ravages of light and dust. The remnants of the garb of my dear friend Naruhel hang in decaying tatters, and there is inadequate space to continue my observations on the effects of the tinctures and flora I have cultivated, in the name and spirit of Lhaereth, on human subjects.

Thus, today I begin the painstaking process of preparing for the long journey to my new home in Sant Lhoer. This move will prove to be a lonely transition, as the distances are simply too great for my loved ones to join me, but I find solace in knowing that my life’s work will not only continue but flourish in collaboration with the Grand Cultivator Oganuin.

I do hope our correspondence will endure as I begin this new chapter, and I will wait each day for words to arrive at my door in your ink.

With all my love,

Balchiar.
