I was in a bad place after the battle – my mind reeling and tormented. I couldn’t get away from the sounds and sights of the war and the prevalence of evil that I replayed constantly in my head. I struggled with my sanity. Upon a good friend’s recommendation, I sought sanctuary at Anolyn’s Retreat. Upon entry, I found tranquil spaces so serenely peaceful I was able to calm my visions, meditate, and find enjoyment in the simple pleasures found within the retreat. Renewed in spirit, mind, and body, I found peace. Finally. I might never leave.
